About Me
I have been doing art for most of my life. I have been drawing, painting, and doing other forms of arts and crafts. I took art throughout high school and graduated from college with a Bachelor of Applied Arts with a Graphic Design concentration.
I believe that we are all creative in our own way. Many times we lose our sense of creativity through our lives. It is time to find it again. I have taught art classes and activities to seniors in nursing homes and at senior centers. It is wonderful to see the smiles on the seniors faces after they complete their project. It gives them such a sense of purpose.
I love to learn new things and I have worked with many different types of artistic media. I am currently doing mostly acrylic painting, both traditional and fluid acrylics. I enjoy watercolors and alcohol inks. My space paintings are created with Unicorn Spit which is a non-toxic water-based gel stain that is used a lot to create fun furniture finishes.
The heavens declare the glory of God…. Heaven’s Declarations is a series of paintings that were based on images from the Hubble Telescope and NASA. The beauty of nebulae, galaxies and other stellar formations is amazing. It really boggles my mind when I think about the vastness of space. These paintings were created with a product called Unicorn Spit. It is fun to work with.
